Meet Ryann: The Kidpreneur That Could

11-year-old kidpreneur, Ryann and Money Magnets Club Executive Director, Alexandra Arrington at Social Venture Partners pitch competition, called SEED20.

11-year-old Ryann is a talented young lady and has been a guest kidpreneur with Money Magnets Club, having already experienced owning a fashion business with her mother from just 8 years old! In 2019 she started attending Money Magnets Club meetings, are learning new applicaitons and information to consider and apply. At our meetings, she was also presented with several new challenges to try her hand in new areas to complement her already vast creativity: writing poetry, create a bulk sewing order as a vendor for our swag box distribution, and to create a new line of fashion items (bucket hats!).

Ryann shared with us in fall 2022 that she wanted to create a line of bucket hats to sell as her next business idea. In 2023, we asked her to create a design that could be used as a reference for a pitch competition our Executive Director participated in, April 2023. She discussed the design and process and got to work. She finished the product with a hand drawn design that was then screenprinted on limited edition hats. She wore one at the event and then presented the other to us on the event day! 

There was no challenge she couldn't rise to, and this is, in part, the power of Money Magnets Club. Where ever kids are in their exposure, experience, and education about business ownership and financial literacy, we want to help to support and challenge them to get everything they can from our approach and explore the next level.
